NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR LIONESSES

Manager, Alberto Kurti

Millwall Lionesses FC is delighted to announce the appointment of Alberto Kurti and Dan Mlinar to its management team. Alberto has been named Manager and Dan Assistant Manager of the ladies’ South London football club.

Alberto has strong ties with the team, having previously worked for three seasons as Goalkeeper Coach for the first team and the Centre of Excellence. His recent work includes coaching for the England women’s under 15’s national team and coaching at Tooting and Mitcham FC mens’ first team. Alberto is currently undertaking the UEFA A Licence and played semi-professionally for a number of London clubs before moving into professional coaching.

As Manager, Alberto will be responsible for overseeing the club strategy, including the selection of next season’s team, leading on all coaching sessions and driving profile for Millwall Lionesses.

Alberto said of his appointment:

“Millwall Lionesses FC is highly respected across the country and it is an honour to be appointed Manager. The team is known for its passion and drive and it is my ambition to reinstate us in the Womens Premier League. The Lionesses have led the way for womens football, which is experiencing a huge boost in popularity right now. I hope the local community will really get behind us over the next season and help cheer us on to bigger and better things.”

Dan Mlinar, Assistant Manager, also has close ties to the club having worked as Manager for the Millwall Lionesses’ Reserve Team over the past two seasons and having managed the under 14’s team.

Speaking on his new role, Dan said:

“I’m looking forward to working alongside Alberto to help drive the team forwards. The club and its Centre of Excellence has nurtured some exciting talent over the past few years and I think we have a good chance of getting promoted this season.”

Trevor Richards, Millwall Lionesses Club Secretary said of the new management team:

“We are delighted with the appointment of Alberto and Dan. This is an exciting time for Millwall Lionesses as we look to power through the Womens Southern Premier League and again become a major force in womens football.”
