Another solid performance from a very young Lionesses team who battled to a deserved victory vs a very strong MSA side. MSA made very difficult for the lionesses to break through in the early minutes and their keeper made some good saves. Millwall manager Alberto Kurti gave debuts to Hope Stevenson in goal, Naomi Was in Defence, Isabel Kulinski and Daniela Glancy up front. Millwall got the break they deserved from a Jenifer Smith’s through ball for Daniela Glancy to flick it for Shauni Grifiths who dribbled past their GK and slotted it through on goal. Second goal came few minutes earlier from a great attacking corner organised from the lionesses and Cally Beaumount rising higher than MSA’s defence to header the ball in the net. We continued to press their defence over and over with some promising patterns of play but unable to find the net as their goalkeeper was on form. Highlight of the match was when Dionne Lennon dribbling with the ball through 5 players and her shot from 25 yards hit the cross bar.
