First Half
A nervous start from the visitors.
Millwall enjoyed some good possession in the midfield early into the game. On 7 minutes, the Millwall midfield pairing of Egli Trezzi and Jennifer Smith combined, eventually allowing Jennifer to ghost past 3 Plymouth Argyle players and play a through ball to Kasia Viggor who took the ball around the Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper only for her shot to hit the side netting.
Despite the increasing heat, Plymouth Argyle began pressing through the midfield with some very physical and effective play. They started to show some really comfortable play between the defence and midfield. Some imaginative range of passing can from Millwall’s new girl, Jennifer, as she worked to create attacking opportunities.
Millwall often showed impatience with forced passes which resulted in losing possession. Dionne Lennon and Shauni Griffiths looked to attack on the right hand-side, but Plymouth Argyle showed good resilience.
GOAL: 40 Minutes and the resilience shown by the Plymouth Argyle players paid off. A free-kick 25 yards from goal dipped over the head of Millwall’s goalkeeper, Deborah Cole . Not a true reflection of her calm performance.
Millwall 0 – Plymouth Argyle 1
GOAL: 41 Minutes an immediate reaction by Millwall. Quick, instinctive play as the ball was passed forward to Kasia on the right. For once, there was support play anticipated ahead of the striker and she played a first time side volley to the overlapping Shauni who held the Plymouth Argyle defender off well, getting her shot off and equalising.

GOAL: 43 Minutes determined and direct play from the Plymouth Argyle attack, as their attacker muscled her way through the Millwall midfield and rifled home a shot which made the game 1-2 to Plymouth Argyle.

Second Half
The game increased in tempo and became a more physical battle. Plymouth Argyle showed impressive composure and discipline as they were put under consistent pressure.
GOAL: 57 Minutes a ball played over the top for Kasia allowed the highly rated striker to show great composure, as she slotted the ball past the advancing Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper.
Millwall 2 – Plymouth Argyle 2New signing, Cally Beaumont, proved a reliable, stabilising addition, as she quickly stopped several Plymouth Argyle attacks in the last third.
Millwall began to dominate as Kasia was through on goal with a one-on-one with the Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper, but this time Kasia was unable to beat her, from the resulting shot, Angharad Chambers could not take advantage of the rebound and her shot went over the goal.
Millwall attacks increased, with Shauni becoming more influential , often being tracked by two defenders.
Pressure continued on the Plymouth Argyle goal, as Egle had a shot high over the goal just outside of the area.
GOAL: 82 Minutes another ball played over the top for the in-form Kasia, as she hit another low strike past the goalkeeper, who was now unsure whether she should risk advancing from her goal.
Millwall 3 – Plymouth Argyle 2
Plymouth Argyle now looked to show the craft that won them promotion as they pressed on for the last few minutes of the game.
GOAL: 89 Minutes the two Plymouth Argyle strikers combined to confuse the Millwall defence, which resulted in a low shot to the left of the Millwall goalkeeper.
